March 19-21, Singapore Chinese Girls' School

About

Having established itself in the circuit since 2007, Singapore Chinese Girls' School is a pioneering secondary school in the MUN scene. This established, annual student-led initiative provides both local and international participants with an opportunity to enhance their awareness of important global concerns and engage in debates and creative expression on pertinent world issues. The theme this year is based on Goal 17 of the UN Sustainable Development Goals - ‘Revitalising the global partnership for sustainable development’, with the tagline Revitalisant. It is representative of our focus on a re-strengthening of global partnerships in our world and, through the lens of a microcosm, our youth. A dynamic conference with the opportunity to foster friendships, share regional perspectives and imbue in one a sense of global citizenry, it is open to all interested students with or without prior MUN experience.

With a renewed perspective, this conference will express our desire to accommodate to delegates of different backgrounds, abilities and interests; we aim to reignite the interest in the MUN scene through a push for inclusivity and accessibility, reimagining MUN as a platform for interconnections and expression.

SCMUN, while aiming to reinvigorate and rejuvenate, also aims to be accommodating - the conference will host various tracks with a tiered set of councils, specially catered to each delegate’s experience level. Not only will the conference warmly welcome students with an interest in the MUN scene, but it also gives them a more comfortable platform for expression and personal growth as a delegate. Do come and play a part in the revitalised world of SCMUN 2019!
